What red flags to you see in his affect?

I haven't watched videos of him -- can't bring myself to -- but I think I would spot someone creepy. I hope so.

I am curious about this too. I just watched a video of him on Youtube and even though I was looking for clues, I didn't see any red flags. Am I dense? I really want to know as I find it disturbing that I'm not seeing it!

Not the PP. But that is none of your business and it is extremely rude and unthoughtful to ask that.

someone should report 10:43. What sort of sicko wants to know the details of someone else being sexually abused.

Or my personal favorite "He didn't MEAN to hurt them."

That's the power of denial. She doesn't believe he harmed her child.

Even when they accept that it happened, they minimize the harm caused. "It was just touching, it's not like he raped you." "He's a boy, he'll get over it." "He probably doesn't even remember."

Many child sex abuse victims (myself included -- 8 years by my stepfather) LIVE with their abuser. While my mother was watching her favorite TV show, I was being abused in the next room.

And she's still married to him

This happens so often, and I really really don't get it. How a mother could stay with someone who harmed her child, I do not understand.

Yes. In particular, reading the grand jury report freaked me out. The man is so cunning and sly. He really messed with those kids' heads. I suppose all molesters do that, but reading the details really opened my eyes. I have a toddler and am trying to think through what conversations I need to have with her and when to start.

No.

Most cases of child sexual abuse occurs among family members. And all of the signs were there with Sandusky. The gifts, the outings, the sleepovers, etc. People were either blind or just not that aware of the warning signs.
