Been to both. Agree with 8:10 and 9:56.

I think the dinner at Komi took something like 3 hours since there were so many small courses coming out, so if you are going to be looking at your watch to rush home to a babysitter you might want to go to Marcels. I also think Komi is not very romantic since the waiters are always popping by your table every 5 minutes to bring you another appetizer. But if you are both foodies and want a new eating experience, then pick Komi over Marcels.

8:10 here again. OP, if you decide to go to Marcel's, ask around among your friends if anyone wants to take advantage of your Komi's reservation before releasing it!

The food at Komi is more interesting, and it's more of an "experience." Marcel's is very good food in a nice, traditional setting. The service at both places was excellent. Komi feels more hip, while Marcel's feels more old-school. That said, I've only been to Komi once and probably wouldn't shell out the ton of money to go again, but I think Marcel's - since it's cheaper - is a place I *might* go back to at some point (although it wouldn't be my first choice). You'll have a really nice evening at either place. Happy Anniversary!

I have heard so much about Komi, finally had a chance to go. What is so special about this place?
Decor is nothing special, food was ok. Would not recommend.
