It's my birthday too, Happy Birthday!! I didn't do anything fun for myself today, we celebrated o er the weekend, we drove home with the kids from a weekend away and I had to work at my part time job tonight hope you had a more exciting day than I did!!

I always take my birthday off and usually get a massage or go to a movie or go on some pretty hike or something and in the evening I set new goals for the year...well my b-day is in June so I review the goals I set at New Years. Happy Birthday...I hope you do something fun and relaxing!

So go to the Phillips Collection or Textile Museum, stop at Secondi for nice consignment shopping, and then walk to Adams Morgan for falafel. Have a great time!

Hmmmm.....

I would take a long walk or go to a class at the gym.

Is there a friend you could grab a cheap lunch with? I would go to 5 Guys as that is a huge caloric splurge.

While I'm at it with the caloric intake, etc., I would also treat myself to a cone or a sundae at the Dairy Godmother in Del Ray.

I've often taken the day off for my birthday just because - is there something you love to do and don't get a chance to do very often? That's probably a good place to start. Go out to lunch or get a cup of coffee, walk around, go to a movie if something sounds especially good, spend some time browsing around if you see an interesting shop, read a magazine from start to finish in one sitting, get a pedicure...enjoy your day!

I would go to the National Museum of Art and walk around a bit, see the sculpture garden, then treat myself to lunch somewhere, maybe at the bar of Johnny's Half Shell on N. Capitol or I'd walk up to Ceiba. Or go to the movies. Happy Birthday!

Today is my birthday and I am thinking of taking a partial day off, just because I can (I am self-employed). I would have until about 3:00. Any suggestions as to what to do? It should be free or inexpensive.

The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, too! I live in Alexandria, FWIW, but wouldn't mind heading into DC.
