PP of this statement-Can you tell me where you found this info. I can't find anything like this. I transferred one frozen 5 day blast on Thursday (Nov.3) and I feel absolutely nothing. No cramping, no sore boobs, nothing. I'm figuring that I have another failed cycle, which really sucks because this is a donor blast and the donor was 22.

I did one fresh 3dt and this is the FET from that DE cycle. I've also done 4 IVFs with my own eggs. I am so f*#&g tired.

I've been pregnant before so I know what it feels like.

Op again. Got the results back from the second beta test today. It went from 86 to 679 in 4 days which is great.

12:19 - Did the fertility clinic tell you about late implantation for frozen embryos? Very interesting. Our transfer was both frozen and PGD. Also what does CGH mean?

PP congrats, I had an initial beta of 72 after an IUI and it turned out good, but if you are looking at all the IF support sites you will see lots of stories that went both ways. You should try to focus on the positive or do something to take your mind off the numbers.

I was told that frozen embryos tend to implant a bit later and therefore often have lower initial betas. The same is true of embryos that have been biopsied for CGH or PGD.

We transferred one CGH-normal, frozen embryo and had an initial beta of 95. I'm due to deliver in 10 days.

Had a beta after NCIVF that was 68, 14dp5dt, and that resulted in my DD who doesn't believe in sleeping late on a Sat morning. I obsessed over the number and assumed it wasn't good, especially since I had a better 14 d result that ended in m/c. I know how you can't help but worry, but it's just a waiting game. I hope Monday brings you good results.

No problem. I was both replies. I have done the 3 betas and I've never gotten this far so I've been obsessively googling. I know that I definitely saw conversations between people on a board (not here though) regarding the frozens starting out slower.

OP again - thanks 21:55. Prior to my DC I had a chemical pregnancy (first beta was 16) and a very long drawn out molar pregnancy with major complications and loss (long story) so I'm always on edge until I see a heartbeat. I did check out the beta charts and it does seem possible. According to the beta charts and what I've read online that even my first beta with my DS (146) was on the low end so who knows maybe I just tend to start out slow. Interesting info about frozens starting out slower. I haven't seen that anywhere in my obsessive readings! Also a good point that within a couple of hours I could have been over 100!

The thing with betas that is universal is that the number doesn't matter as much as the facts that it is 1) going up and 2) going up at a rate that they like to see. One beta doesn't mean anything. (Well, it means you're pregnant, but I'm ad libbing off what I've read this week.) You need the 2nd beta to compare. Everyone is different and I don't think the nurse should have said anything. Over 100 my ass. Honestly? You were over 100 about 2 hours after you left the clinic this a.m., so don't worry about that part.

You are in the game. You didn't go in 14 or 15 days post transfer and get a beta of 20 and get told to come back the next day...that would be on the weak side.

Op here - Day 5 single frozen blastocyst transfer. Excellent quality and PGD tested (no genetic abnormalities found). First beta was yesterday, 13 days after the transfer (Oct 21). Nurse said she has seen success with betas in this range but it "makes her a little nervous." Ugh! Have to wait until Mon for another test. I will say my symptoms with each day seem to be increasing which I would assume is a good sign.

More info please. What day after transfer were you tested. Was it a 3 or 5 day transfer. What was the quality of the embryo.

With DS my first blood test/beta was 146. The fertility clinic said they like to see it at 100 or higher and to be "cautiously optimistic." We won't know until we retest on Mon to see how it's trending. Anyone out there had a first blood test in this range and have a successful pregnancy?
