Yes, I have the Arlington county list, and have also used the VA state database to find providers and check licensing and violations. I was hoping to get some info on specific openings but have been calling the providers one by one on my own in the meantime. I will post if I find any with openings and would love feedback if anyone has any.
We have been on the waitlist for both NSF and FDIC for over a year and do not expect to get in for at least another 6 months (spouse is a federal employee but not at one of those agencies). To be honest, the serious violations at NSF that came to light over the past year and the fact that their license was not renewed for the full year has scared me off. But I got a better feeling from the FDIC site when I visited so we're keeping them in mind for the future if we ever get in.
I would call back to NSF as the new provider will be in place in about a month, and you'll have an environment where EVERYTHING is being watched carefully. The facility itself is quite nice, and there are wonderful teachers (who will likely be staying with the new provider).
