OP here. You are right, but it is simply not an option right now. I really struggled with the decision and there is no way around it. I have an individual policy along with pre-existing conditions (namely asthma). Therefore, when my current policy's rates were hiked up, my ability to find a more affordable policy was severely limited. Denied, denied, denied.
