We pull a wagon with our cooler in it.

Were you trick-or-treating in Arlington? Must have been our rowdy crew that you saw drinking beer and wine. It's a tradition in our neighborhood and we were all drinking responsibly. I am paying for it today, though, as I just climbed back into bed with a massive hangover.

You are a party pooper.

I was one of those parents with a plastic cup of beer (well, actually hard cider). I drank two all night, from 5pm to 9pm. My husband and the other two parents were were with to take our kids around were also having a beer or two. No one was drunk. Everyone was just having a nice time.

I saw that too in neighborhood. My daughter is only 2 and my son is just a baby but when they get a bit older I am definitely grabbing a drink for the walk.

Halloween is a huge party, and hardly kid centered. If it's all done responsibility I see no issue with this. We didn't see anyone in our neighborhood drinking, but good friends of ours always have a few while trick or treating (a few meaning 2-3 beers in the 2 hours, hardly enough to get you drunk while munching on candy as well).

I saw people walking around with big cups of beer/wine last night and was jealous. Def going on the planning list for next year. Just adds to a nice evening. Halloween is the one holiday that is all about walking, so why not?

We often have a block party first then head out with a glass in hand. It wasn't a drunken bash just a fun night for everyone.

In an upscale neighborhood in Alexandria, parents were passing out candy to the kids and beer and wine to the adults. As long as no one everyone is drinking responsibly, I don't think it is problematic.

Last night, in my neighborhood there were a number of parents walking around the streets drinking from plastic party cups full of beer while taking their kids trick-or-treating. I'm usually no party-pooper, but it seemed kind of inappropriate to me. (Maybe because Halloween is such a kid-centric holiday, it seemed incongruous to be smelling adult beer-breath.) What do y'all think about it?
