The school has strong resources for special needs. In addition, I think the general school population benefits from being exposed to kids with a wide variety of special needs who attend the learning center.

Classes are about 25 students; the school has a "learning center" which is dedicated to special needs kids....

I wouldn't put much heed on the websites. It's a great school with wonderful teachers and administration. I really can't think of any negatives about the school other then it is an older building.....

We are looking at a home that is in the Burning Tree zone. Anyone know why it's ranked so low on schooldigger compared to other schools in Bethesda?

We have been very happy with the school, especially under the new administration.

I agree that it is a bit eclectic. Take a ride around. There is old with new; nice with not so nice; some huge houses that are really run down; some pristine mcmansions; lots of bits and pieces....

Apparently, people feel the since the Superintendent's kids arrived, it has even gotten better. Burning Tree itself is a pretty eclectic neighborhood. Lots of multi-million dollar homes and still a few under a million. The lots tend to be big and the families tend to be older (because most young folks with kids can't afford the area yet). All of the feeder neighborhoods are nice. Some quirkier than others, but I haven't really heard anything bad about any of them.

This is eclectic?

Hi. Moving to the area soon and looking at a neighborhood in Bethesda that is serviced by Burning Tree Elementary School. Any feedback?
