PP once again...

Oh, and I adore Neil Gaimon. But Stardust does have some "adult" scenes that she might not be ready for. (just a few, and not X-rated, but definite R's!)

I am going to get her a Narnia book, don't think she's ready for Tolkein. Any suggestions for "magical" books? Not too scary....

Thanks!

She might like "Savvy" by Ingrid Law (and a sequel, called "Scumble"). Not hocus-pocus magic, but real-world superpowers.

Edward Eager books are fun--Half Magic is the first.

Also E. Nesbit--Five Children and It, for example.

My daughter loves to read, but she says she "only likes books with magic in them, like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson".

I am going to get her a Narnia book, don't think she's ready for Tolkein. Any suggestions for "magical" books? Not too scary....
