Peel them because the teachers don't have time to do so.

sometimes they have seeds which wouldn't seem good for this age group either

I was asked to bring them in too, and the teacher asked that I peel them. I will peel them but leave whole.

I would peel them. Otherwise, you are creating more work for the daycare teachers and you don't know what they would touch in between peeling. Another alternative would be the pre-sliced apples. Costco has them (I forgot the brand) and Giant has Mott's.

I signed up for a fruit/veg. I am not quartering grapes for 12 kids but otherwise am flexible to any other ideas that kids might actually eat amid the assortment of cupcakes/cookies.

Send something else? Is there a similarly healthy snack?

I'd peel. That way the teachers will be able to serve them faster.

I am sending Clementines to the daycare Halloween party for kids aged 2-3 y.o. Should I send them whole or peeled & sectioned in a Tupperware? I don't want to make it hard for anyone to eat them, but don't know if people would dislike the idea that I touched every single piece. (Obviously I will wash my hands before peeling, but people would just have to assume that I did.) Any opinions?
