For our twins, we found that the Huggies and Huggies P&N leaked. If we did the tighter so that they didn't leak, the babies cried because the diapers were uncomfortable (until we loosened them and then they leaked). Pampers Swaddlers fit better.

7th Generation were good, but the large tabs didn't work too well with the twins as premies. Also, we like the moisture indicators, which 7th Generation doesn't have. The Earth Best were the worst for us. They were cheaply made and tore easily. I had one diaper change where I had to use three diapers. The first I pulled the tab and the entire strip came off. Switched to diaper two and the baby kicked and the foot went right through the diaper. After that, we never used them again.

PP here who CDs: No, we have a PT nanny and family care for DS (very lucky!) so haven't had an issue with daycare. I've heard anecdotally that many in-home providers will go along with CD and some facilities, but it's definitely something you need to ask about.

Your best bet is to use a wet/dry bag (we like Planetwise) and velcro CD (like BumGenius). Then it's really no different for the provider from disposables, except the used diaper goes in the wet bag instead of the trash.

We preferred the Swaddlers as a newborn, young infant and not Huggies but a little older/few months, the Huggies were better. But, that was before the Swaddlers were changed with the new stuff in them. We find at different ages/stages different diapers work best.

Wow, I have never in real life met one mom who preferred Huggies to Pampers. I'm finding it amazing here that everyone seems to prefer Huggies.

I also had issues with the strange gel beads with the Pampers. So, we switched to Huggies and I liked them much better.

We were on pampers sensitive for a while (first month or so of baby) but switch to Huggies P&N. I love them! Always found gel beads with pampers, were on P&N
Size 3 now and haven't been happier. I also love the have the wetness indicator in the larger sizes.
Fwiw, I found them for the for the best price on amazon subscribe & save. It's almost buy one get one free (almost!) vs say target.

Cloth at home. Huggies pure and natural or CVS brand at home. Pampers has too many gels that gave us a rash which is why we went to cloth. Huggies are better than CVs a little but CVS is good for the price. Both have the elastic to hold in the deposits.

Huggies. The net on the pampers sticks to the babies bottom.

to pp who said she uses cloth -- do you send your child to daycare? if so, do they accept the cloth? I would like to change over to them but am worried that when my daughter goes to daycare, I'll have to switch back. Thanks!

I'm interested in this too -- we use huggies pure & natural because they seem a little softer than the other diapers we've used and they don't cause leaks for us -- but I think they run a little smaller than pampers and therefore are more likely to leak if you have a larger baby in a smaller size, if that makes sense.

Swaddlers Sensitive also gave DS a red bottom whenever we used them. (Had some from the hospital, too.) We liked 7th Gen and Earth's Best. (Although now we cloth.)

We used Swaddlers out of the hospital but switched to Huggies because both my daughters seemed to get a rash from whatever Pampers was using in the waistband material. Not sure if the 'sensitive' ones are different.
