check out pickyourown.org for full instructions, but yes, you can still can it. in short, you need to sterilize your jars (wash in dishwasher is fine), bring your pot of apple butter back up to boiling, fill jars w/ hot apple butter, and can them in a boiling water bath. the website i referenced will tell you how long to boil them for the size jars you have.

I've made the apple butter. Can I seal it into preserve jars now? I'm confused b/c it sounds like I need to boil the jars to get them to seal properly and I'm not sure that works for something that's already made.
