Other than this, you seem really upset OP. I like the idea of a school that finds an activity that bounds them, gives a chance for school spirit and cohesion. Is your objection that it's football-related or something else? Kids have been in school for 2 months now, I think it's also an opportunity let out some steam and get a bit of a mental break from the daily grind of school.
