Woodloch Pines if you are willing to drive a bit more - 5 hours

There's also the Homestead or Greenbrier of course

We're looking for something similar for early November and I'm having trouble finding something, also considered Wintergreen and Massanutten but, like you, think the reviews just sound too iffy

I want something nice, but not too high-end with lots for kids to do (we've been to Lancaster before - the Doubletree is fine for what it is, but it is not really a resort - I actually think the Best Western Eden Resort is better and better located although the Doubletree has a bigger indoor pool)

We want to get away last-minute this week for three nights with our two kids (ages 3 and 7). Would prefer somewhere with an indoor pool, fairly high-end rooms, maybe a state park or other easy hiking nearby. Any recommendations? We would drive up to 3 hours. I'm reading very mixed things about Mannsutten, Wintergreen, etc. and the Chesapeake Hyatt looks like there's not that much to do in cooler weather.
