Well - I didn't think it was too bad. Definitely needs carpet removed, updated kitchen and baths, but it looks clean and taken care of. You'd never know by looking at my house that it was DISGUSTING inside, some of rooms fixtures dated back to the 40s. We bought and didn't move in for 7 months, the basement was a gut job (severe water damage) and lots and lots of other renovations. To this day, we're still doing renovations. I'm a fan of split levels, although we have a bungalow, especially the 4 and 5 levels splits.
