I don't have any experience in DC, but I assume it depends somewhat on what the contempt issues are...

Is it clear cut, like money? Or harder to "prove", like schedule, etc. The other question is what would you be seeking as a result? If it is money or a schedule that reflects reality more closely, then maybe you can get it. But, if you are seeking to make the other parent be a respectful and responsible parent, then the court can't probably make that happen.

I have weighed this option for myself. I hope the questions above are slightly helpful!

How often will the court find a parent in contempt for ongoing multiple violations of a divorce agreement? I'm in DC. I'm not comfortable getting into specifics. But it's quite a laundry list, of current and recent violations over the past year. TIA.
