We like to go to Annapolis for a weekend away because you can get there in 35 minutes (from our house) and it feels like it is hours away. We always stay at the Westin because we bring our dog, but there are lots of B and B's if you are canine-free.

I second Goodstone Inn. Accommodations and dinner were outstanding.

I would stay in town at a Ritz or Four Seasons and let yourselves be pampered. Forget about country inns -- they don't have gyms or spa services. Sounds like you need some pampering to me.

We've stayed here too and it's nice. Eat at One Block West though, in Winchester--it's awesome.

Antrim 1844. They have specials that include dinner in their excellent restaurant as well as breakfast. Very romantic, especially for just 1-2 nights.

Hi -

My husband and I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 1 year old. The 1 year old doesn't sleep the night and ask the kids share a room, most nights our older toddler ends up in a mattress in our room. We both work full time and the hectic nature of our lives is starting to take a toll on us. We've decided to go away for the weekend. We don't want to drive more an 1 1/2 hours. We don't want to stay in the city but would stay just outside of it and come back in for a nice evening. Or, we could just stay in a bed and breakfast somewhere and go for walks and sleep. This is going to be a really special treat for us so we'd like somewhere nice. Any suggestions?
