I can see this being a sort of Seinfeld moment and it would be hard not to laugh, but "very disturbed"? It's not like she asked you to shoplift with her.

I am not conservative at all and have had many a skinny dipping hot tub party at my house. But MIL and other family? No way.

I would one hundred percent be not on board with getting naked with family members, particularly my in laws.

I wouldn't want to skinny dip w/ my MIL either but in my family we used to skinny dip all the time when I was a kid but it was just me, my mom and my sister and sometimes my aunt at her house. We go out late at night to swim in our pool. I loved it as a kid.

Of course, we were also the family who thought it was hilarious to "moon" out the back window of the car on family road trips so I might not be the best litmus. hahaha.

I'd have a similar reaction, OP. Although maybe not actually grossed out - I'm super conservative, and understand other people have different comfort levels than I do. To each his own.

I'd go skinny dipping with my friends, but not MIL. In fact, I would be quite disturbed if MIL suggested it.

I may be a bit traditional/conservative, but on a recent family vacation with my in-laws (all immediate family and spouses), my MIL suggested we all go skinny dipping. We are all grown adults and I just found it very disturbing and I'm grossed out. Other members of the family were not in agreement, so luckily it didn't happen. But I'm curious of other's thoughts/opinions.
