I have never had any problems with Whole Foods in Fairfax County. Maybe it 's the refrigeration or other issues with that store.

I've never had issues with Whole Foods. I wonder if it is a problem with that particular one? I'd mention something to the manager.

I've never had a problem at any Whole Food store, although I do check dates very carefully at any grocery store.

I'm really shocked to hear this. We have never had a single issue with anything being spoiled at either the King St Alexandria or Silver Spring Whole Foods. We buy fish there weekly too. We do tend to eat it the same night though.

I never have this issue at the Kentlands store. Is it fair to blame it on the entire Whole Foods organization?? It seems this happens at Trader Joes, Giant, Safeway, etc.

The only time I've ever had a problem with food from WF was fish- and it was on sale, so I should have known better.

This has happened to me with WF fish.

I never buy fish at WF. And don't get me started about the hummus that goes back if you as much look at it.

I live in AU Park and always head home immediately after checking out at the Tenleytown Whole Foods, and once I get home I immediately put the perishables away. Today I even happened to have a cooler in my car, so I popped the bag of groceries in there, which should have even further kept it cold. So I don't think it's user error!

I got bad milk there. Glad to hear I am not the only one -- I mean that in a bad way.

Will I NEVER learn? Yet again, I bought meat at Whole Foods in Tenleytown (this time it was a whole chicken). And YET AGAIN I am in the middle of dinner prep, unwrap the chicken, and find that it is spoiled and stinks. So not only do I have to make another trip back to the store to get a refund or exchange, but my plan for cooking dinner is shot to hell. You'd think I'd learn from past experiences over the last few years, but somehow optimism slowly creeps back in. Then we have good experiences, and then suddenly BLAM, another piece of spoiled meat or chicken or fish.
