I disagree. Being divorced TWICE by age 32 indicates that someone makes poor choices and perhaps lacks the maturity necessary to be a fixture in the lives of four children. Yes, there could always extenuating circumstances, but most likely, the sister is a bad judge of character, jumps into things without thinking, and/or immature. Or, she could have married perfectly nice guys who then found out she was batshit crazy and left.
I'm lucky that my sister is great. My SIL on the other hand... also divorced twice by 32 because she married (a) a coke head who was constantly being sued by his ex-girlfriend for not paying child support and (b) a loser who couldn't keep a steady job to save his life. How can you not see the red flags in both of these scenarios?
I'm sure life seems very clear to you in retrospective and from the outside. How could she have failed to look into her crystal ball?

I haven't spoken to my sister in 4 year b/c I got sick of her verbal abuse. She's mean and then plays the victim so my mom and brothers think I'm the unreasonable one for cutting her out of my life! Ack

You know, there is a difference between being "entitled" to your own opinion and other people being forced to listen to it. You may feel that a family member that just passed away was "a vile human being," but it is not unreasonable for someone to choose not to hear it. And I assume there is more to the story. You likely did not just simply state "DH's Bis a vile a human being." You probably went on and on after she told you she heard enough. So, are you "entitled" to hold her hostage on the phone while you rant about somebody?
And btw, why is it wrong to date somebody who has "FOUR" kids?

She hung up on me bc I said my DH's brother who just passed was a vile human being. She didn't even know the man. WTF? He was a very mean abusive man. He treated DH like crap. THis is the man who when DH was deathly sick said to just let him die-he was not a saint! I mean I am entitled to my opinion correct?
