I just wanted to say, that I think you should invite everyone in the preschool class. Like others have said, the odds of everyone showing up is pretty low. Also, children should not pick and choose their friends to a party. This will cause teasing and children actually get emotionally hurt. I am speaking as a preschool teacher and many parents ask me about inviting all the kids or some. I encourage them to invite them all. Only about half actually rsvp and about half of that actually show up.

We are in Tenleytown.

You can try Dynamite gymnastics - they charge more because you need more instructors, but I don't think they have a limit. Bounce places are another option.

We're probably heading in the same direction, and I don't see a problem with it. I think it's nice to be inclusive, but also, you're not likely to have EVERY kid show up.

Also, in order to make suggestions, we need to know where you are. In NoVa, there's Pump It Up (Manassas), Kids N Motion (Woodbridge), Jump N Jimmy's (Haymarket) that can accomodate over 20 kids. Places like Little Gym, Gymboree, My Gym will have 20 max.

If your community has a community center, you can rent a party room. We did that for our son's 4th. We brought in toys from home, set up a couple games and a couple crafts, bought cheap decorations, and the kids had a blast. Best part was we had the space for 4 hrs, not a 90 minute party like other places. Down side - we did all the set up and clean up... Up side... cost less than party place...

about reserving a pavilion at a good playground? If you do
an afternoon party the weather should still be decent.

Agree. Tell her that 30 kids is too many. Figure out who she really wants there, and do a more manageable party.

OP: I'm starting to agree with you. But what do people do in Kindergarten? In pre-K, the rule was you had to invite everyone or just girls, etc. Dd has lots of friends who are boys. Should we just pick and choose the kids she is friends with in the class?

Dd really wants to invite everyone in her 24-person class to her bday party. At the end of the day, we're looking at a roughly 30-kid party. Any idea where I can have this party? (Not at home, please.) She wanted Silver Stars, but their limit is 20 kids.

It's in mid November, so nothing outside.
