it's funny how the 30 somethings think they look old and the 50 somethings have pushed that age back about a decade. There's definitely different ideas of what old looks like---loss of the bloom of youth and looking more mature (which most of hit in our mid 30's) vs. looking actually "old" which most of us won't hit until 45 or 50.

I'm 35, but I am still mistaken for my kids' teenage babysitter.

But when I hit AMA, I instantly felt old, and I have discovered my first white hair.

I've never worn sunscreen or makeup. Kind of a hippie. And I have long hair and chubby cheeks. I think that's the trick.

Yeah, but the rest of us have had fun

Not if you continue to take good care of yourself. My 40 year old friends still look great.

I'm 38 and I started looking old when I became a mom at 33. I think it was the lost sleep I never could catch up on. The dark circles under my eyes have become very prominent.

i started looking old after i had my first baby at 36. love her but i know the parenting while working full time has done me in (in terms of looks).

i try to eat well, drink water, exercise, take care of my skin, etc.

-signed someone who has used daily sunscreen since high school and comes from a family of dark-skinned women who never seem to age.

35 was a really hard year for me and I think that is when my age started to show. However, 36 has been better and I think I definitely look better than I did at 35.

I started feeling old when my dad died at 33.

I'm 34 and I feel like I started looking old at 33. I think I'm going prematurely gray, with about 5-10% gray hair now. I've noticed some crow's feet starting to form when I smile. And in general I just look older and worse than I did when I look at pictures of myself 10 years ago, or even 7 years ago. How about you?
