I have lots of favorite apple recipes, but here's what I made just yesterday: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/apple-oatmeal-crisp/detail.aspx It's apple crisp that uses oatmeal in the crisp part. So easy and good. I used much less white sugar than the recipe calls for, since the apples are so incredibly sweet.

Sausage & apples are such a good mix! I crumble sausage, dice apples and sautee - add a bit of butter, apple cider and then mix with just cooked orzo. Delish!

Whoever posted this, thank you! I was going to make Italian sausage and squash for dinner earlier this week. I went ahead and added a couple apples as well, thinking it would be a nice balance since my sausage was the spicy variety. I added some chicken stock then let it cook down a bit to thicken, served over rice. It was a huge hit with DH and DS. Will definitely be making it again but might try it with apple cider next time.

I like to take some Italian sausage, crumble and fry it and then mix in lots of chopped granny smiths and some onions, and cook it until the apples are kind of crisp on the outside, and soft like pie filling on the inside.

Yummy

Also do the same thing with really good bacon.
