As for "pure Montessori" I believe this is a misnomer, if you have read much of Maria Montessori's works, as I have. So there is no such thing, other than school directors who wish to be extremely inflexible with schedules, materials or timing of school day. At Arlington Forest Campus where our daughter attended 3 years, the proof is in the pudding - reading above age level, outgoing, confident, caring. The tuition difference between Chesterbrook and the others is not based on any kind of superior quality, from what we saw. We are thrilled with the experience on all levels that we had at Chesterbrook.

a girl in our neighborhood went there through K, before going to public at 1st. parents were very happy with the school.

Yes, the original location is on Glebe near Mclean, and the new location is in Arlington Forest. I don't know about the old location, but I wasn't thrilled with the program in Arlington Forest. If you want a more "pure" Montessori experience, you may want to take a look at Full Circle.

Does anyone have information on the Chesterbrook Montessori School in Arlington VA? I've heard there're a couple of locations in Arlington but Google didn't turn up much. Tks!
