I agree, it is completely confusing, but this might help put the # into perspective a bit.
Did your letter say what the benchmark was? For instance was it the top 75%, 80%, top 2%?? How did they determine what the "benchmark". In the Inview test they gave us a percentile rather than a raw score, and then told us the benchmark was 80%; however, for the Raven they gave us a raw score but didn't tell us what determined where they set their benchmark.
