It's fabulous. I attended Rivendell 6-8 grade, and it was absolutely the best thing for me. It is a Christian School, so expect to be held to biblical standards. The academics were wonderful, I recieved a much better education from Rivendell than I would have from the public school in my neighborhood. Had it not been financially impossible I would have attended St Stevens St Agnes, Paul V or Trinity for High School. Those are the caliber of schools into which Rivendell feeds. The teachers are amazing and I still go and speak with them when in town, over 10 years after graduation. Scholarships are also available, I was the recipient of one.

Academics are fantastic, most graduating 8th graders have plenty of private school options among the most prestigious high schools in the DC area. ERB scores are very high.

Tuition is very reasonable for this area (around $8000-$9000 per year, with scholarships availalbe).

I know a few moms whose children go there and from what I can gather, the school is ultra Christian and the academics are so-so. Not my cup of tea. In my opinion you are much better off going to the Arlington public schools.
