Our daughter has been going to Redwood for the past two years. We trust the teachers' and admin's decency and kindness, but not their discipline and organization, as it should be in a montessori program. Our daughter is learning more at home than in school.

My family has had a great experience at Redwood. We have been there for three years with two children and have been very happy with the learning environment, the teachers, and the administration. I find it a warm, friendly place and have enjoyed watching my children growing and learning there.

We're considering Redwood Montessori for our son -- who has quite a lot of energy. Are the facilities and the program appropriate for active children?

My son is in the primary class now; he was in the Pre-primary class last year. The teachers are very dedicated and loving, while the Director is a big advocate for Montessori, which is great. Honestly a big reason we chose this school is because we wanted our son to go to a Montessori preschool and this one is very affordable. We feel he is in a quality program and we are not breaking the bank! The classroom are not as glossy as some other nearby schools (such as White Flint Children's House) but they are clean, appropriately laid out, and they have a nice shady playground out back.

Yes, my two kids both went there for the primary program. We liked the program a lot. It has a lot of families from the surrounding neighborhoods and we really liked the sense of community. It has a solid Montessori program and my kids were both very happy there and learned so much! You can always call to set up a time to visit to check it out for yourself.

Hi, we are wondering if anybody has experience with Good Shepherd Montessori on Veirs Mill Road in Rockville, recently renamed Redwood Montessori Academy? If so, please weigh in with any information about the teachers (especially in the primary class), director, aftercare, why you chose this school over others, and anything else you think a prospective parent should know. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
