Try walking cradles for more casual shoes

For everyday, I have good luck with Lifestride

Truly dressy is hard - I've had terrible bunions since I was a child (genetic) and they don't hurt me so I don't want surgery but it's very limiting in terms if footwear

I've found this site helpful b/c you can search by foot issue:

I highly recommend Dorndorff. They use an elastic lycra at the ball of foot area to allow for some stretch, without the heels getting too wide

I have a lot of foot issues. Another DCUM recommended Barking Dog shoes to me. Here's the link: https://www.barkingdogshoes.com/best-shoes-for-bunions

They aren't sexy, but I'd rather have dorky shoes than severe foot pain.

I was surprised not to see Repetto ballet flats mentioned here. I have bunion issues after years of ballet and these are the only shoes I can wear with no pain!

I have bunions as well as a neuroma on the ball of my foot that makes most heels painful. Totally agree with the Aerosoles recommendation! In particular, I've found their wedge heels to be a lot easier on my feet than regular heels. My feet are really bad, but I can wear many Aerosoles without pain.

I also have loved the Cole Haan Nike Air collection, but Nike sold its Cole Haan unit and the line has been discontinued. If you can still find them online or in an outlet, the lower-heeled shoes with a rounded toe are wonderful. My everyday work heels are Cole Haans with about a 1 1/2 inch heel.

Aerosoles. Shop the wide widths. Theirs are the only high-heeled shoes I can comfortably wear.

OP here. I actually bought and returned the Julie Lopez shoes. They are way too high for me, and the height of the heel put pressure on the ball of my foot, leading to bunion pain.

Too bad, b/c I was so optimistic it would work! When I returned them, I mentioned the reason and they said they were considering making lower height heels.

I strongly recommend a new collection of high heels designed specifically for women with bunions. Made in Italy. Friend them on Facebook for free shipping at http://www.facebook.com/julielopezshoes and visit their website to see the first collection fresh from Italy: http://www.julielopezshoes.com

I have the exact same problem, bunions at both feet and it's been pretty hard to find stylish and comfy bunion shoes. Though, after hours spending on the Internet, I found the perfect pair at www.carolinemacaron.com. Hope this helps

Arche, Anyi Lu and Taryn Rose. Not inexpensive, but worth it for comfort. Style-wise -- they're not gonna look like Jimmy Choos, but they're not too bad, either. Wear them with a great dress that draws the eye to other, more flattering parts of your anatomy.

Buy shoes on zappos and search for shoes by width. Go with a D width.

I am embarrassed to admit I have bunions that could rival my 93 year old grandma's. This makes dress-shoe wearing pretty painful, though I understand that not everyone with bunions is in pain. Roomier boxes on shoes are more comfortable for me. Does anyone have any suggestions?
