OP here. Yes, it's nosey, but it's an anonymous internet thread. If you can't be nosey here then where in the Sam Hill can you be nosey at?

We make 160K combined, our incomes are almost half and half depending on DH's bonus.

We have one two year old child, hope to have another in the next year or so. We live not far from downtown Silver Spring; our only debt is the mortgage on our single family home which either of us could swing on our one income if need be.

I work because we are able to save much more aggressively, plus outsource some things I would hate to do if I stayed home (like housekeeper, online orders instead of a few errands, etc.). But also because I really like my job, have a fair amount of flexibility, and don't want to risk stepping out of the workforce for several years.

NW-- rent
Me: 107
DH: 103

My plan is to go part time (cut salary by 40%) after #2 but in the meantime we're saving for a down payment. Don't know if it's even doable in a "good school" neighborhood, but if we have to move somewhere remote in the city, what's the point, maybe we'll choose to move to the burbs.

There was a very long thread on this subject not too long ago, but I can't find it now. Can anyone post the link so we don't have to rehash this all over again?

I make around $150,000 (but have the potential to make more with bonuses, but not much more) and my husband makes $156,000 (he is a govt. employee so his salary is pretty static for quite some time).

We have 2 kids under the age of 3 and live in Falls Church.

The previous thread regarding the incomes of spouses of sahp got me wondering. How much do most families with two full-time working parents earn in this area? If you don't mind, please post where you live and how much both you and your spouse earns individually.
