This is OP. I’ve been doing this my whole career, especially the managing up (have been executive-adjacent for years).

I find managing personnel to be much easier!

This would be a huge jump in title and salary (currently a senior IC with management experience) and am very interested in the market and role. Please give me your best tips and advice for nailing this process and anything else you would have wanted to know before stepping into the director level.
