With the move to the new high school next year, yes. I really like the Crown area.

Post specific listings. I don't believe you.

What's your budget?
Where are the adults commuting to?
Where else were you considering?

Nothing against Quince Orchard as we have many happy friends there but it’s not as academically strong.

No, lots of issues with violence.

You obviously aren’t a parent at the school and just like to stir the pot. There are NOT a lot of issues with violence. I’ve had 3 kids and 2 nieces there in recent years and none of them worried about violence. Are you referring to somebody being jumped in the community outside of Wootton about a month ago? If so, you should do your homework because nobody involved was from the HS.

Absurdly not.

What’s your budget, OP? Are you looking for new construction or is an older home acceptable?

It’s a great school district. And they’re going to be in a new building. The old building was crumbling

Can’t go wrong. I am also bullish on the 270 corridor, it has lots of good bones for business and housing

Wootton, yes.

North Potomac for QO? Not as eager to do that.

I wouldn't have moved there before because it is boring AF over there. But otherwise there is nothing wrong with it and now you know the high school your kids are assigned to won't be hazardous to their health.

It will be fine buying and moving there, it is a decent neighborhood.

The school has had some serious issues with violence the past few years but if they go to the new building yes, in the old building.

We are relocating to the area next year and while we don’t live there now, I’ve read about the redistricting issues with Wootten/Crown. Housing prices in the area seem to be reasonable and the elementary schools and middle schools are still good. My kids are 5 and 8 now, but we are planning for the future. Would you move to the North Potomac area or totally avoid? Thanks for all of your honest feedback.
