Yes. That was a real hit piece from NYT. I am concerned by his lack of experience in a regular job. I wish he had started with something lower profile. That being said, he saw that the house seat for the district where he had lived his whole life was open. Given the nature of politics, whoever wins it will likely keep it for 30 years. So he had to give it a shot. The timing stinks. But let's get our facts straight. His sister who was in her 30s had just died, leaving behind young kids. He is excused for being off his game for a bit - by all accounts everything is back to normal now.

Compare him to Kean in NJ who is in office and has completely dropped off the grid for months and is being very cryptic about what is going on.

Yes. He is a very poor man’s Scott Stringer. He seems to have been born wanting to run for office and keeps waffling based on what polls tell him will get him elected.

Bores is much more genuine. And a lot smarter.

Is this basically a three way race now? There are so many candidates, and I want my vote to matter. I agree that regarding Micah Lasher. He is just a permanent candidate running for whatever. (My impression).

Schlossberg for the win

Please don't believe the hate advertising. He is a good guy. He left there before it went south. He is the guy fighting to have guard rails around AI. He is not anti-AI. He just wants some regulation, which makes sense. But some people with a vested interest in AI don't like it so are spending millions to destroy him.

Personally, I'm more troubled by the fact that Lasher has not distanced himself from all of this. He has spent his whole career virtue-signaling and waffling and one of his big things was less money in politics, yet he takes a fortune from Bloomberg and was running ads 24/7 until polls told him it was getting annoying (everything he does is driven by polls), and he had no issue with others running really nasty ads about his opponent.

I would take Bores any day of the week.

I actually think Schlossberg has potential but he is way too green for such a big role.

Who is going to win?

I saw him speak and was surprisingly impressed. He had his ups and downs and some ideas were better than others but overall he was pretty good. That being said, he needs more real world experience. But he realized that this seat is the district he grew up in and there is a huge incumbent advantage, so if he didn't try now, the seat is likely going to be taken for 20-3 years, especially since the other leading candidates are also relatively young.

He was much more sincere than Lasher, who bothers me more each day as an opportunistic phony. Still trying to figure out Bores but I will likely vote for him.

The Times hit job really put the final nail in Schlossberg's coffin, while failing to really highlight that some of his extreme flakiness came right after his sister died. He still needs to grow up more but he isn't as bad as that made him sound.
