Those missed meetings were literally within 10 days of his sister dying. I think that's understandable
Yes. That was a real hit piece from NYT. I am concerned by his lack of experience in a regular job. I wish he had started with something lower profile. That being said, he saw that the house seat for the district where he had lived his whole life was open. Given the nature of politics, whoever wins it will likely keep it for 30 years. So he had to give it a shot. The timing stinks. But let's get our facts straight. His sister who was in her 30s had just died, leaving behind young kids. He is excused for being off his game for a bit - by all accounts everything is back to normal now.
Compare him to Kean in NJ who is in office and has completely dropped off the grid for months and is being very cryptic about what is going on.
