MVSA expects you to be at their tryouts two days during the tryout period. It may be worth the experience if you don't expect to make it and you can sneak in other tryouts. You should definitely have a safe option because making an MVSA team as a 15 with one year of club experience doesn't seem likely.

The current 14U MVSA teams have 11 Liberos and Defensive Specialists so it will be unbelievably difficult to get one of those spots on the 15U MVSA teams this fall.

This is good to know. My DD plays outside and opposite and is 5’9 at 13 but is unlikely to grow more. Not sure if college is in her future but it’s nice to know that she can stay in her preferred spot a bit longer.

OH in D1 average 5'10-5'11. Higher level programs have taller OH. But there are many D3 programs with
(with great hops) to 6'4 on average. D3 is lower, around 5'9 average. More important than height is block jump and approach jump. The shorter you are the higher the jump needs to be. Average is around ~20", with a lot of D1 athletes in the 22"+ range.

Also, remember to play OH in college you have to pass. If you can't pass you are either a OPP or not a player for the college level.

Very very competitive. MVSA like most clubs give some preference to their former players, although there are no guarantees, it depends if the 14u liberos want to come back. Plus as the PP mentioned, many shorter front row players transition to back row so libero is one of the most competitive spots.
What is her serve receive score, that will be the most important skill to look at. She should at least be near 2.0. Can she do dolphin dives? Is she super fast? Don’t give up but be realistic. Many of these girls have 4+ years of experience.

Don’’t say OP should give up just because a lot of girls want it. If OP’s daughter wants to improve in time she will. Plus as long as there are no overlapping tryouts there is no shame is trying out.

I know MVSA is mentioned a lot but I do not actually know much about the club other than they are advanced. My rising 15U libero says she is ready for the next level and wants to try out for them in the upcoming season. At the time of tryouts she will have one club season and one JV high school season at a school where JV is better than many varsity teams. I just want to know what I’m getting into. Sorry is this post is confusing!
