Well, Blue Origin could certainly use some new engineers. Major explosion a few days ago that set them back a year or so. And their launch facilities were wrecked.

But yes, every engineering student would love to work at SpaceX and Blue Origin and so on. There's exciting exciting stuff going on. The benefits of an IPO are just extra. SpaceX and Blue Origin are not going to have a problem recruiting new engineers regardless. This is fun stuff for engineering and people want to be a part of it. Major leaps in rocketry and space travel are happening right now. It's an exciting field if you are nerd-inclined.

Blue Origin would be a better choice at this point because it is pre-IPO.

But "space is the new frontier" is more relevant now than ever, I can't imagine this doesn't excite our kids. Or are they too buried in their phones to care if Russia or China get to Mars first and put iron gates on it? I'm with Elon despite Elon

this was true 8 years ago.

but not as much now. Elon musk has not helped and getting in post-IPO is never as attractive

There's TDS. And I think we need a new term for Musk, too. How about MDS? Or is EDS better?

The guy is intriguing. I can see why so many see him as visionary and follow him. He has delivered more than not.

elon musk is NOT more intriguing now than years ago. there's more DOGE, more drugs, more all of it.

agree, pre-IPO spacex and starlink were more attractive. there are a ton of companies in this field that are pre-IPO or are set for acquisition
