When my DC was in 3rd grade, I asked him if he followed along as I read to him or did something different. He said, “ It may not look like I am listening, but I have to listen differently so that it goes into my long term memory because my short term is blank.” So, if she needs a fidget, or a doodle or something to do while she listens, remember it helps her focus on the listening.
