So my partner, our agent, and I have toured about a dozen houses (open and privately) this Spring and Summer buying season.
I was doing research online and it came up that we should have signed a "buyer's agreement".
We haven't signed any documents with this agent but shook on it.
They're with a top brokerage in DC and are well known in the community, BUT I saw tons of things online saying this is a requirement, thus we're wondering how common it is for us not to have signed anything.
We don't want to bring up in person with any colleagues in an effort to try and maintain our agent's reputation in case they're in the wrong.
