Yes. It did. I was so ragey and my kids childhood is so short and I really felt like it was completely changing how they related to me. Started HRT at 42 and it made a huge difference. I started estrogen patches (took some trial and error to get that dosage right) and micronized progresterone and then eventually switched my IUD to mirena and no longer take the progesterone. Definitely look into your options if you've noticed a major change. You don't have to live like that.

HRT absolutely helped with my rage - specifically the progesterone. I take 200mg of micronized progesterone each night.

I’m 40 and the two weeks leading up to my period are downright scary: I wonder if it’s too early to look at HRT.

HRT and then my doctor also added Cymbalta. My older sister had to do the same. It has been life changing.

HRT worked for my rage. I’m a much nicer person with it.

OP here, unfortunately, the only antidepressant that ever worked for me in the past was Wellbutrin and that was very much NOT a mood stabilizer.

There are other anti depressants that help more

Oh yes. I’ve found it to be a great mood stabilizer. Just evens everything out.

It should help - the progesterone is a feel good hormone. But I also have a small dose of antidepressant which helps take the edge off. I would try HRT if you are in the age range. I really struggled with anger in PMS for years and wish I had figured out an aid for that sooner.

I've become so mean, so so mean, my kids hate me. Will HRT help? I wasn't always this way.
