I think Matthew Broderick was probably a jerk in his younger days. He had quite a bit of success on Broadway as a child actor then made a very successful transition to the movies. It would inflate most egos. Still, he seemed to pick intelligent women to date and then marry. He grew up in a very liberal environment, so I think if he was gay, he would have come out.

He was likely paid seven figures for an afternoon's work. That's why. And nearly all your sports and movie stars are doing the same thing. Easy money.

And since everyone is shilling for gambling apps, there's not much of a reputational hit these days. The Kardasians are worth billions and still do it. Kevin Hart, Neil Patrick Harris, Drake, Jamie Foxx, Snoop Dog, Timothee Chalamet, Rob Gronkowski, Wayne Gretzky and on and on are all promoting gambling apps these days.

If you haven't noticed, in 2026 people generally value greed over reputation and integrity.
