It doesn't work that way. I've shown up looking like death and been upgraded. It's just because I have status from work travel.

I get that. We have status. But I've also seen how even without status people are treated better when they don't look like slobs.

Being friendly and nice is going to get you further than being dressed up, if there's any discretion.

I agreed. But I contend being friendly (how is it that we live in a world where this has to be said) and dressing nicely gets you better service. Pretty much anywhere.

If you’re naturally pretty it doesn’t matter. If you aren’t particularly attractive then yes, dressing nicely gets you better service.

A good “test” for if you’re pretty or not is are you treated differently when you dress up vs down.

Same for if you’re fat - if you want to be treated nicely, dress nicely. Lots of fat bias in the world unfortunately.

Also sorry I had to be the one to tell you this!! I’m sure you figured it was a universal rule for everyone : (

I'm amused. Are you the OP of the thread on the obsession with the older GF who used to be hot?

Just wear something you'd wear to lounge around the house. Add layers if needed. You don't need to buy new clothes or a matching set for this.

I wear workout capri leggings, oversized long sleeve t-shirt and a vest that I can take off, put on as needed, with running shoes.

I put comfortable sets for women and it added 2 piece travel. A bunch of options.

Old Navy sweatpants, t shirt, and sweatshirt that zips up so it's easy to get on and off!

When you say sets, are you referring to just tops with shorts or pants? Or does "sets" refer to something else. Like matching sets?

Between the AC blasting and sitting for 14 hours (w/breaks/stops), I’m seeking a comfortable set. Top and bottom. Shorts or pants. I was initially against sleeveless but I don’t know that I’ve seen sleeve/short sleeve sets anywhere lately.

I’m pregnant but still wearing regular non-maternity apparel.

What have you found?
