We did it in the living room, dog was too sick to be moved outside.

We used the dining room table and she stayed in her bed.

Where also depends on size of dog. My dog is 130 lbs, we had to have a vet and vet tech just for that aspect.

Recommend you have a blanket that the vet can wrap the dog up in and take with them... i.e., a blanket that you will not be sad about not getting back.

Thank you all! Living room floor in her favorite spot will be our choice if it works for the vet.

I had my dog put down on the landing of the main stairs where she often napped. I pass it every day, and it doesn't bother me. It's actually comforting.

NP. The spot where my dog died didn't bother me much. Seeing their food bowls and their favorite lounging spots were much harder. We boxed everything up and sent it to the attic until we were ready for a new dog.

Yard would be good if the weather is good

We did it in our family room. Dog was laying on her favorite bed already (moaning in pain because we waited too long. It was bad) and we weren't going to move her.

My parents did it on their breakfast room table. Their dog was little and everyone could stand around patting her head.

We did it in the yard. The vet brought a blanket that also became the carrier. But I would think it’s wherever you want, just pick somewhere tidy and easy for the vet to navigate.

Imho, you need an open window. You want the soul to pass on, to leave the room. Kinda kidding but not entirely.

I have scheduled an at home euthanasia for a beloved dog. First time going through this. What physical place (room and floor versus couch or bed) worked for you and your pet and the vet? TIA.
