Have you tried the parks district? Their classes are usually affordable and they provide inclusion support for free. I'm not sure what that looks like in practice, though.

If you have trouble finding the right class, look for online music stores that sell instructional videos/curriculum and the instruments that go with them.

We owned a couple videos back in the day. They could fill in for a 45 minute class. For example, there's a Ukelele for kids video at the link below.

Here's a music store where my mom bought stuff for toddler at home music play.

Levine was great with my DC many, many years ago. He started with music therapy at age 4 and moved to piano by age 6. DC now is at college pursuing a minor in music!

Good thought. I could ask at his therapy clinic if they know of providers… i feel like anything with “therapy” next to it comes with a hefty price tag and we are investing so much in other therapies was hoping there may be a class that would cost a few hundred for a session

My ASD level 2 DC loves music, singing and dancing. I think it is definitely something that helps with his emotional self-regulation/sensory needs and it's also just pretty darn cute honestly. Are there any music classes in the DMV that folks have found are good with inclusion and patient with neurodiverse kids? DC is too old for the toddler centered parent and me music time type classes. Something with music and movement would be great. TIA
