Agree with this, though my kid is in dcps. Her favorite teacher is also the harshest grader, since she doesn’t believe in most of the class getting As. I emailed once because my kid turned something that she had missed due to an AP exam that was scheduled during class. The teacher said she could redo over the wkd. She turned it in Sunday only for the teacher to say weekend means by Friday evening. The deadline had passed, so out of luck!
I had to accept this since it seems to be a school policy. My daughter had asked in person but I felt it was worth me so giving a nudge. She will now have a B instead of an A- in the class.
