I agree it’s happened to me forever. Activities run later so the wind down starts later and then I’m awake with the birds. I have blackout curtains and a sleep mask. Don’t have this problem in winter.

This happens in August for me, but it’s from PTSD.

Op here, I meant to mention that I thought it was peri too, but my sleep was fine the rest of the year last year except June, and 1-2 random days per month that I am pretty sure are peri related. The continuous bad sleep in June (like 2-3 weeks straight, with very few good days) seems odd. Last yr I thought it was stress, but this year it’s back!

Welcome to perimenopause.

I don't have hot flashes, but I have bouts of insomnia every time my hormones fluctuate wildly during my cycles.

Track your cycles with an app like Flo, and you might notice that your insomnia occurs are key moments.

Does anyone get insomnia or have a hard trouble sleeping in June? Acc to the internet, this is a thing b/c of the lengthening days throwing off melatonin production, but I'm curious to hear others' experiences.

Mid 40s woman, usually I sleep fine. Last June I had a stressful thing at work, so assumed the bad sleep in June was due to do that. Once in July, sleep went back to normal. Sleep has been fine all year and then suddenly again in June, very poor or shallow sleep. Any tips on how to get through it?
