Stroke and turn is fine but once a week isn’t enough.

FINS was very good to all three of my kids, who are older now and swim year round. We've been to both the Old Farm and Prep locations. The water at Prep is cold (or was, when we did it), which was an issue for my youngest.

FINS will produce the stroke improvements you're looking for. MC S&T will build endurance, but not so much technique. There are cost and commuting differences between the two, but given what you're looking for I'd strongly recommend FINS. (My kids have done both, and had instructors I respected at both.)

My kids are older but have done both. We liked both. Fins has less kids in each lane, but as you probably know Old Farm is a heated outdoor pool. When they were little, they hated swimming there when it air temps were chilly. I would suggest the year round Fins program at Georgetown Prep.

My 8yo daughter currently enjoys summer swim team. She's legal in all 4 strokes, but her times are nothing special/middling. I'm looking for a year round non-competitive, once a week swimming program to improve her stroke and technique so she can at least keep up with her peers and enjoy summer swim in the future.

We're looking at Montgomery Stroke and Turn Clinic or Fins Swimming at Old Farm (Marlins group). I'd love to hear any personal experiences with either. Thanks in advance!!
