I can’t speak to whether ANCC is more inclusive than other Clubs but we really enjoy the Club. We play tennis, golf & pickle ball at least 3x a week, enjoy the pool in the Summer and go to social events monthly. There are definitely both liberal and conservative members and likely everything in between.

You may want to look into getting a LIFE membership to MOAA first. I understand if you are a MOAA member there are significantly reduced entry fees for ANCC.

We are currently considering joining the Army-Navy Country Club. We live much closer to a different club, but it's exorbitantly expensive (I think a 100k, non-equity initiation fee) and seems pretty stuffy. While we're pretty high income, we're a more casual family and don't have family money/generational wealth backing us. We're most interested in joining a country club so that we have a nice spot to enjoy recreational activities on a casual basis (once or twice a week golf/tennis/pickleball/swimming). We're also an LGBT family. We're hoping the Army-Navy CC might be a more reasonable price and a little bit more inclusive than other area clubs.

Any insight into current monthly costs and initiation fees for the Army-Navy CC? One of us is active duty, for what it's worth, but soon to be retired. We understand we need to buy in now to avoid the initiation fee skyrocketing.
