Apparently the district is restructuring their magnet system, so there is some uncertainty about their future quality, but I would say that up to now they have been roughly equivalent to TJ in terms of rigor.

this only applies for kids who go to more than one high schools at the same time.

You are only compared to your school, though. So if it's the highest rigor (for your major) at your school, you are good.

That’s not really how it works. Colleges want students who have taken the highest rigor available at their high school.

It seems to me that many posts reference that their child’s has “highest rigor.” I’m guessing, though, that the highest rigor is different school-to school. What are the schools in the DMV that are likely a level above the rest if a child has taken the most rigorous courses there? I’m assuming TJ, Sidwell, NCS/STA, maybe GDS? Other publics or privates?
