Teachers do not want iReady or IMPACT. Every signature counts!
I understand some may not think teachers have a ‘right’ to help decide our evaluation but we are simply asking for a voice. We still want accountability but IMPACT does not help teachers grow. We are also wasting money on bonuses and lining the pockets of those invested in IMPACT.
Please read for my information and you can decide for yourself if you’d like to sign and support teachers.
Maybe you should have run someone against him….
Useless.

You think MCPS is doing WORSE than DCPS?
Also IMPACT is 15% of my score. Which I don’t care about. It’s the fact that iReady is trash.
Just like IMPACT is trash, accountability where? Real accountability would be ensuring every student makes gains -at least a full year’s worth. With some caveats like they cannot be missing 30,40,50+ days of school.
I say this as a teacher who has been highly effective 9/9 years teaching.

+1
There needs to be a mechanism for rewarding effective teachers. I agree the iReady testing is probably not the best way, but it would be good to know what teachers think would be better.
