Probably a teardown. Ugly house, water leaks, probably mold, and a gross filthy mess.

Very possible. Especially with the beds pulled up like that.

Why are all of the beds on the diagonal?

It seems like they were in the process of a very disorganized move out, and either got locked out by the sheriff while in the process, or for whatever reason decided "eff it," and just left everything behind.

I was wondering the same thing. It looks like somebody pulled the beds away from the wall to see if anything was behind them or under them.

The way that towel is hanging over the shower rod!

It's like people were forced out with little warning or little ability/inclination to plan. That might be what happened -- people with bankruptcy issues can be in major denial until the sheriff's there on the doorstep (I'm a lawyer who has handled some bankruptcy and foreclosure stuff, I've definitely seen it). Although that usually happens after the sale, not before.

Bankruptcy. The sale was forced by the court.

Even a half smart real estate agent would clean up the place before posting pictures. This is just stupid.

How sad! you can clearly see evidence that children and pets lived in the house. I hope they are all okay.

The interior photos are something.

The old residents left all of their stuff, and in disarray. They even left multiple vehicles in the garage according to the listing, which now convey with the house. What happened to the family? Even in a foreclosure people pack and drive their cars away when they leave...? What do we think happened here? ICE raid / deportation?
