Frederick MD's is pretty good.

Leesburg has a great parade and fireworks.

For those who recommended Philly – just so you know there’s a World Cup game there that day and there’s going to be tons of security/extra crowds. I’m not sure that’s where I would want to be on Fourth of July this year.

Great Meadows in the Plains, VA does a great 4th of July!

I was thinking of Philly as well, I think they have a lot of fun stuff by the river and then fireworks.

I want to celebrate but not have it all be Trump themed and that's my worry with DC itself.

DC will still have an insanely long firework display. And there’s lots of vantage points to see it.

Baltimore is usually fun (they were the original “bombs bursting in air”). Can get a harbors identical hotel for the night…

Since the Freedom250 fiasco seems to have snarled DC celebrations, can anyone suggest any good events close by? I hate to just sit home and watch the neighborhood fireworks
