Talk to your husband about this?
He is the love of your life. You are the love of his life. You love each other so much that you decided to have a baby together.
Talk to your husband. You are a team.

Babies shouldn’t wake up so easily. I was always on the go when they were little so they got used to sleeping where they were. They still sleep through anything.

Do you people never read the actual OP, just the subject line? JFC.

Okay, if I missed it, please tell me the age of the baby and if the nursery is in their room or in a separate / another room. I reread it and still don't see the details that you are apparently seeing.

"Baby has a beautiful nursery with his crib, baby monitor, etc."

NP and we can all infer not a newborn if they are both WFH and not on maternity/paternity leave at the moment.

WFH with no childcare?? You're shortchanging this baby too.

I read the OP twice, and the post you're attacking twice, and the original post doesn't answer these questions, so I'm not sure where your vitriol is coming from

We have an open concept main floor so sound travels easily.

You need to talk to him. Why is he putting the baby down for a nap in the living room? Is the reason good enough to outweigh the inconvenience while you are both WFH? Also, tangentially related question, are you both working from home with no childcare? Why?

Why are you posting this here? Talk to your damn husband.

And yes, that is weird.

Okay. The most important thing that you are learning at this stage of parenting has absolutely nothing to do with the baby (and where he sleeps could not be less important) but rather how you COMMUNICATE with your spouse.

WHY does he put the baby to sleep in the living room? Every possible answer stems from an understanding of that.

No. Baby needs to sleep in the nursery. DH probably wants to see the cute baby. Or find that it’s easier to get the baby to sleep in the living time. Doesn’t matter. Activities that need silence leave the coming rooms to everyone else.

He does this in the middle of the day and shushes me when I try to make something in our kitchen. Baby has a beautiful nursery with his crib, baby monitor, etc. Am I being unreasonable not wanting to be super quiet when he’s asleep at 2pm and we’re both WFH?
